Veneers were invented in the 1930s by California dentist Charles Pincus. They fell off quickly as they were held on by denture adhesive, but worked long enough to temporarily change the appearance of movie actors' and actress's teeth during the filming of the movie.

In 1983, H.R. Horn confirmed in an article in the New York State Dental Journal that composite resins and porcelain could be successfully bonded using a platinum foil technique for veneer fabrication.

Tooth Bonding

Tooth bonding hides natural flaws through placement of a thin plastic coating on the front surface of the teeth. The dentist then applies a bonding material that is sculpted, shaped and colored to suit your needs.

Porcelain Veneers

Ultra-thin porcelain dental veneers correct chipped, weakened, or discolored teeth. Veneers return structural integrity to damaged teeth, often leaving them looking better than the originals.
